IT’S LEGAL, BUT IS IT MORAL?: TAX MORALITY AND ITS LIMITS

This session will turn the spotlight on the use and misuse of morality in taxation systems. The panellists, all great thinkers in fiscal policies, will:

  • provide the participants with a definition of morality in the context of taxation;
  • conduct an analysis of the current role and importance of tax morality in current taxation systems;
  • consider the degree of importance that should ideally be given to morality when speaking of taxation;
  • discuss how corporate social responsibility should be factored into the equation.
