Brigitte Alepin is a Canadian businesswoman, a Harvard trained tax specialist and tax policy advisor and a professor in taxation at the Ecole des Sciences de la Gestion of the Université du Québec à Montréal. She leaded several major researches and projects for governments, Fortune 500 corporations and NGOs, in various fields including environmental taxation, international taxation, oil and gas taxation and health care. She has both public and private-sector experience that allows her to offer a rare multidimensional perspective of tax policies and public finances. She acts as a special advisor to politicians and political parties and she also acts as an expert witness on various committees of the House of Commons and the Canadian Senate. Brigitte Alepin is known for her books Ces riches qui ne paient pas d’impôt [eng. The rich who do not pay taxes] and La crise fiscale qui vient [eng. The coming fiscal crisis].
